  • so i got a new iPhone for my birthday and decided to set it up with the new “device-to-device transfer” feature introduced in iOS 18. and something weird happened.


    so a feature of iMessage is the ability to create and send stickers from photos in your library. and the iPhone will even cut out the subject from a picture and make the sticker look nice with effects and whatnot. neat, cute, whatever. well now, since i did the particular setup method i did, i can’t make any new stickers or see any of the ones i’ve already made. and any time i try to add a new one it just disappears into the digital ether, never to be seen again.

    Apple’s official “fix”? Factory reset the phone and redownload everything from an iCloud backup. No thank you. not for something as stupid as stickers. where are these things even stored?? there is literally ZERO documentation on this on Apple’s support site.
